1. Overview

SideArc is a product of MekongApps ("Company", "we", "our", "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

Local data only. The Extension stores workspace data (spaces, tab assignments, folders, shortcuts, and billing state) exclusively in your browser's local storage via Chrome's chrome.storage.local API. This data never leaves your browser unless you initiate checkout, license verification, or support-related purchase recovery.

3. Payment Processing

Purchases are processed through Creem, our payment provider. When you buy SideArc, Creem may collect payment information, billing details, and your email address to complete the transaction, handle tax or compliance requirements, and provide receipts. We do not store or have direct access to your full payment card details.

4. Purchase Restoration

If you contact us about purchase access or recovery, we may use the email address and transaction reference associated with your Creem checkout to verify your purchase status. No browsing data or page content is transmitted as part of this process.

5. Permissions

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

• sidePanel — to display the side panel interface
• storage — to persist your workspace data locally
• tabs — to read and manage your open tabs within spaces
• tabGroups — to sync Chrome tab groups with spaces
• bookmarks — to import bookmarks as spaces (only when you choose to)

These permissions are used solely for the Extension's core functionality. We do not access your browsing history, read page content, or inject scripts into web pages.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Creem — payment processing, merchant-of-record operations, tax handling, and purchase receipts

7. Data Retention

Local workspace data persists until you uninstall the Extension or clear Chrome's extension storage. Payment and transaction records are retained by Creem and any internal purchase records we keep are retained only as long as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and customer support.

8. Your Rights

You can delete all local Extension data at any time by uninstalling the Extension. For billing-data or transaction-related requests, contact us at support@mekongapps.com. Some payment records may need to be retained by Creem or by us for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
